Wordful Wednesday-{The First Day of School}

Wordful Wednesday is like Wordless Wednesday, only WITH words. It’s for those of us that can’t contain the chatter, but in a good way. More info. in my tabber box titled WW on the right. Thank you for playing along!

What kind of mom would I be if I didn’t post some back-to-school pictures of my kids in September? After all, sending one’s children back to school for the new scholastic year is pretty monumental, right? Especially one when becomes a crier, like I did.

I suddenly have a 5th grader, a 3rd grader, a 1st grader and TWO kindergartners.  It’s a bit disconcerting, and a big bit exciting.

And for the record?  I’ve never been so busy in my life.  I thought that when my kids were all finally in school I’d have a lot of down time.  Make that a lot of down time.  But I was wrong.  I guess that’s what happens when one over schedules all of her new-found-free-time.  🙂

  4. They are all so cute! I hope they all have a great school year!

  5. I would have cried too…they all look so grown up! 🙂

  6. I’m not going to make it. I’ve been teary all night. An empty house. Bizarre. Your babies however, look absolutely gorgeous!

  7. How exciting!!

  8. Those are some very beautiful children!

  9. Beautiful 🙂

  10. Such wonderful photos, Angie! Your kids are just darling.

And as far as more time… oh my goodness. I’ve found that the more we have scheduled… school, sports, etc. the less time I have. And I only have two kids! 🙂

By the way, that YouTube video was fascinating. I may have to share that too (link to you of course if I do!).

  11. You officially have the most beautiful five children. EVER.

(And, your twins? There is no hiding the orneriness in those little impish faces! So CUTE!)

  12. Oh myOh

  13. Oh my are those big time cuties!! I’m lovin’ all those sets of Converse!! :>:> I can’t quite imagine what it will feel like when both my kidlets are in school, but I’m sure the last bit of time with my wee girl home with me will go by in the blink of an eye…sigh.

So glad I finally have the chance to play along with WW, for the first time this week! :>

  14. Well, I’m with ya girl. These stinkin hormones. Happy WW!

  15. So cute! I can imagine myself doing the over-scheduling bit once all my kids are in school. Heck, I remember the list I made of all the stuff I was going to do when I stopped working to stay home with my first newborn baby — I imagined so much free time, oh, how wrong I was!! It’s been 7 years and I think about 0% of that stuff got done, but I really don’t know because I can’t find the list 🙂 !!!!

  16. Holy cow, five in elementary. I can only imagine the number of emails you deal with just from school!

  17. What adorable kids! All of them! I hope they all had a great first day back!

    Thanks for the linky!

  18. You have some seriously gorgeous children!!! Your oldest daughter is going to be quite the heartbreaker!

  19. They’re adorable!!!

  20. Yes yes I wonder where the free time went for me too. I feel as I want to squeeze my brain.

Lovely photos of your sweet darlings.

No uniform for yours? We have to wear uniforms.

  21. Is it bad that I already can’t wait for my 3 year old and 1 year old twins to go to school?!

    Your kids are beautiful!

  22. Isn’t it funny how that works out? Here’s hoping for some down time for you really soon! 🙂

  23. What a bunch of cuties! BTW – please pass on to your oldest that I love her hair! So cute 🙂

  24. Adorable! I have a first day of school WW this week too. 🙂

  25. How fun! My oldest goes to kindergarten next year, which will be completely surreal!

  26. School is back in session! and it is only replaced by a new set of crazyness!
Sorry to tell you, toots, but you really won’t get any free time until they are much, much older! Don’t you just love the first day when they are all clean & pressed! for once! ((wink))

  27. Too stinkin’ cute! I can’t fault you for crying a little bit….5 kids in school-phew!

  28. OMG Angie they are BEAUTIFUL! How lucky you are!
I hope everyone had a great 1st day at school!

  29. what adorable back to schoolers.

Isn’t it funny how we can instantly fill any potential free time so quickly that we never even realized it was free time.

  30. Classic!

I don’t know how you do it and look forward to hearing about your adventures with all 5 in school. You will be busy and once you get into a rhythm you’ll probably have a bit more down time.

  31. Good golly…..All your littles are stunning. Seriously, not one that is hard on the eyes! Miss you…..will you ever be up this way? North? To visit me? I REALLY need your help fixing up this house we just bought. Like for reals. It needs some work……..But I really do love it I have to say! LET’S CHAT SOON!!!

Hope it settles down for you!

  97. See? Now I want to know what you’re doing with all your free time!

BTW…got your comment on yesterday’s blog about criers and I have amended my position. See today’s post if you’re interested in me feeling like a complete a$$!

  98. Love this! So glad I found your site!

  99. Gosh, I am comment crazy today! Those twin boys are SO cute – I think we need to get them engaged to my friend’s redheaded girl twins. I wish I had a picture – they are adorable and have exactly the same shade of hair. Just think of the darling redheaded twin grandkids you’d have! OK, they’re NINE, but if we wait until they’re 20 and 24, the age difference won’t matter so much!
