Wordful Wednesday – JDM

Wordful Wednesday 411Wordful Wednesday is like Wordless Wednesday, except WITH words. It’s for those of us that just cannot be wordless, no matter how much we try. Add my Wordful Wednesday badge to your post (right side bar under “WW”) if you really want to make me happy, and then add your post link to the linky below. Easy peasy.

Yesterday I published a post that was a year in the works.  I mean, it wasn’t literally in the works for a year, but in a way in was, because for the past year, my sweet daughter has been battling a rare disease called juvenile dermatomyositis.  We’ve kept her disease pretty quite all this time, but lately I’ve felt like we should try to raise awareness about the disease and try to raise money for a cure, because that’s what we really want.  A cure for my daughter and all of the other children battling with this disease.

We’ve decided to only feature one awesome linker each week.    We hope this will mean that all of you will be excited about linking up and visiting our favorite.  This week, we’re featuring Elaine from Miss Elaine-ous Life and her photos of Fallish Fun because her pictures of the pumpkin patch make us want to go pick out a pumpkin.  Make sure to check in with my co-host Dude Mom, too!

  1. I’d never heard of that disease before so I read your post on it and the symptoms. I’m sorry to hear your daughter is going through so much, but it seems she’s strong and a fighter. I wish you and her all the best in helping find a cure and raise awareness.

  2. I’m with Terra – I hadn’t heard of that disease before reading your post yesterday. You’ve definitely raised a strong fighter, and I’ll definitely keep her and your family in my thoughts and prayers.

  7. I haven’t heard either. I’m praying for you and your family.

  8. Thank you for sharing and raising awareness. I can’t imagine it’s easy, but hopefully, the more people know, the more we can move towards a cure.
