Wordful Wednesday – Celebrating the 4th of July

Wordful Wednesday 411Wordful Wednesday is like Wordless Wednesday, except WITH words.  It’s for those of us that just cannot be wordless, no matter how much we try.  Add my Wordful Wednesday badge to your post (right side bar under “WW”) if you really want to make me happy, and then add your post link to the linky below. Easy peasy.

This year we stayed at home for the 4th of July and kept things low key.  My sister and her family came over and we BBQ’d, lounged around by the pool, and enjoyed the nearly perfect weather.  It was a pretty darn good day.  Hip Hip Hooray for the signing of the Declaration of Independence!

Best engagement idea ever that didn’t involve music and/or dancing and/or a massive YouTube overtaking at Love, Life, Family and then some.  A heartfelt post about loss and celebrating life and #LoveforClara on the Destiny Manifest.  A tasty breakfast recipe for delicious pancakes on Behind the Camera and Dreaming.  And, a you-are-not-alone messy house confessional from In the Blue Room.

  1. Now that looks like the perfect way to celebrate the 4th! 🙂

BTW – your pop-up ‘fresh’ ad thingamabob at the bottom renders any links unclickable – I had to reload your page and stop it before everything loaded to utilize the linky button and again to be able to click on the comment link…thought you’d like to know! I’m using Firefox if that helps. 🙂 Have a great week, Angie! 🙂

  2. Looks like you guys had a fabulous 4th!

We actually headed off to a nearby campground/waterpark…and Jackson camped in a tent with me for the first time since he was a baby.

    He loved it! 🙂

  3. Nice to have family you actually like spending time with for occasions such as this! Looks fun!

  4. That looks like a perfect way to spend the holiday! Thank you so much for featuring my post! <3

  6. We also did the pool/cookout thing!

  7. How gorgeous is that? We finally took the kids to see fireworks from the top of a very big hill. Just far enough away that they would not be scared. But it worked out. 🙂

  8. We had a low key Fourth of July too. Sometimes it’s nice to just chill. Looks like you enjoyed your chill summer day!

  9. I ran a race! Yep. lol – Come on over and see.
