“Smart Cookie” Teacher Gift {homemade gift idea}

It’s never a bad time to thank a teacher for being such a fantastic teacher and if you ask me, you can’t thank them often enough.  Making cute homemade items is a fun way to show them that you are appreciative of their efforts and it’s easy on your pocket books!  One of the ways we’ve said thank you this year is by taking in cookies with a cute printable attached that says, “thanks to you, I’m one smart cookie”.

thanks to you, I'm one smart cookie

Smart Cookie Teacher Gift

Putting together the “Thanks to you I’m one smart cookie” teacher gift is easy. You’ll need:

  • Cookies.  Bake your favorite cookie recipe.
  • A bag to package the cookies in.  I used bread bags and then cut the excess off the top.
  • ribbon (I used ribbon that I had at home in my craft closet, but I usually pick up ribbon from the dollar bin at Michaels)
  • “Smart Cookie”  Printable from Urban Bliss
Smart Cookie

Once you have all the items on hand, simply put the freshly baked cookies in the bag.  Tie the bag with the ribbon with the printable attached and cut the excess off the bag.  Of course, if you are using a bag that doesn’t need cutting, don’t cut.  🙂  I used a round cutter to cut the printable out of the white card stock I printed the printable on and then a mounted it on colored card stock.  Have your kids present the cookies and just see if their teacher doesn’t swoon!  🙂
