Sometimes you just have to make lunch fun, and this recipe for an Eggo Turkey Lunch is perfect for the Fall. Not only is it fun to look at, {{and to EAT}} it’s a fun way to lead up to Thanksgiving and start a dialog with your children of all the things that one has to be thankful for. This week, as part of my challenge as a “Chief Waffle Officer” I thought this crafty lunch idea in the shape of a turkey made with Eggo® Nutri Grain Honey Oat Waffles and cheese was adorable. I particularly love how the cheese feathers turned out, don’t you?

Eggo Turkey Lunch Ingredients
- Eggo® Nutri Grain Honey Oat Waffles
- Sliced cheddar cheese
- Sliced provolone cheese
- mini chocolate chips
- mini marshmallows
Directions {Step-by-Step}
{to make one turkey}
Step 1: Toast 2 Eggo® Nutri Grain Honey Oat Waffles.
Step 2: Cut 3 feathers out of the cheddar cheese, and 2 feathers out of the provolone cheese. Reserve left over cheese to make feet, beak and neck.
Step 3: Lay down one Eggo and then place the cheese feathers.
Step 4: Top with second Eggo.
Step 5: Place eyes (marshmallow and chocolate chip), beak, neck and feet.
Step 6: Arrange fruit flower with fruit of choice.
Step 7: Enjoy. My kids like to eat the cheese and then dip the Eggo in syrup, although you can add a slice of lunch meat in between the Eggo slices. Let your kids use their imagination!
