Easy “You Rock” Teacher Gift {homemade gift idea}

**Reposted for Teacher Appreciation Week**

I know that Teacher Appreciation Week is over nation wide, but this idea can be used year round.  It’s a great idea for the beginning of the year to butter up the teacher, as a quick thank you throughout the year; it’s perfect for a Valentine’s day or teacher appreciation gift and it’s great as an end of the year goodbye treat.  The best part is that it’s super easy to put together.

Easy “You Rock” Teacher Gift

Putting together the “You Rock” teacher gift is easy. You’ll need:

  • Chocolate candy rocks (I found mine online and bought in bulk)
  • tin (I bought mine at Michaels for $1.99 each)
  • ribbon (I used ribbon that I had at home in my craft closet, but I usually pick up ribbon from the dollar bin at Michaels)
  • “You Rock” Free Printable from Living Locurto

Once you have all the items on hand, simply fill the tin with the chocolate rock candy, print out and trim the “You Rock” card, and then tie the card onto the tin with ribbon.  It’s such a simple craft and it looks adorable.  Plus it’s filled with chocolate goodness and who doesn’t love that?

  1. I like this b/c even though I’d make it for a teacher, it’s a good party favor idea for adults and kids. Seriously, I could see changing the candy for adults and/or my older daughter and still having a hit, so thanks for a versatile gift idea.
