I’ve been meaning to do this for some time.

A good old Bloggy Book Exchange.

We’ll call it:

THE Seven Clown Circus Bloggy Book Exchange.

Who is with me?

See that Mr. Linky below?  If you are interested in a book exchange, simply add your name and URL.  At the end of the month (that would be February 28th) I’ll randomly match up participating bloggers and notify each of you of  your exchange “partner”.

You then have 2 weeks to put together AND MAIL 4-6 of your favorite recent reads (we are talking used, here, and by recent, I mean recently enough that you remember whether or not it was good) which you’ll then send to your partner.  Once you recieve your package I’m expecting that you’ll blog about what you’ve recieved, linking to moi (I want to know what’s being sent around so that I can get my hands on those books too) and I’ll have a Mr. Linky up where you can add your link so that we can all see what each other has gotten.

The book worm in me is SO excited about this.

  1. Returned clothes to Dillards and in a hurry. Found a used bookstore in the mall. All that money I saved by returning clothes to Dillards was blown at the bookstore.

  2. I love this idea!!! I have lot’s of great books so I definitely want to play!

  3. If only I had four to six recent reads….I was pretty proud that I read two books over the summer. I guess I have some catching up to do.

  4. Fun idea, Angie!!

  5. Grace's Mom says

Sweet idea! And a good way to get some books off my shelf and put to good use!

  6. Sounds great!

  7. I would love to do this, but I don’t know if I’ve recently read that many books. I’ll have to go home and check. I know that recently read the Devil’s Punchbowl by Greg Isles and that was pretty good.

  8. Fun idea! Do we get our books back? I have some great books I have read recently but I would be reluctant to part with them because they are hardbacks…but I love the idea!

  9. I’m in! And don’t look so surprised! I know how to read. And, I even read the book you told me to read and now I’m fully addicted to Peeta and Katniss and am so peeved that I have to wait to find out how things end! I wish I could find such addicting titles in the grown up section.

  10. Woo-hoo! Sounds like lots of fun 🙂

  11. Fantabulous idea!!

  12. Awesome idea! But I tend to give most of my books away via Paperback Swap or giveaways on my blog.

  13. This sounds like fun.

  14. I dont know what it is, but I’m very possesive about my books. I dont give them away! I would love to be in your book exchange, but I dont think I can bring myself to do it!!!!!

  15. Dude if I said yes to this I would soooo fail.
The part where you have to MAIL it.. would sink me…

So I’ll happily watch from the sideline…
    Currently reading
The hunger games 1 and 2 (oddly fabulous but not for the 12yrold)
The Book Theif (again oddly fabulous) Death is the narrator for pete’s sake.. enjoy!!

  16. This sounds like fun – I am such a bookworm, rustling up a few books will be a breeze. Getting them to the mailbox might be challenging, but I have faith that I can do it.

  17. How ever did I miss this??? Awesome! So excited, Angie.

  18. This is such a great idea! I thought about it all night and today (during the freaking blizzard) I poured thru my book shelves getting my collection ready : ) SO excited! Thanks for doing this Angie. You are such a super star!

  19. So excited! I check books out from the library more than buy but a book exchange is a great way to trade used books. Awesome!

  20. This is a fabulous idea!!! Thank you for doing it!

  21. I’m with Nicole. Even though I have a Kindle now, just the thought of giving away 4 to 6 of my beloved books gave me a little mini panic attack. Maybe you’re the kind who doesn’t re-read books. Not me, I read ’em and re-read ’em every couple of years, especially the good ones. I think I have Roots, Shogun, and Twilight just about memorized. Sorry, it sounds like fun, but my books have to stay here on my nice safe little bookshelf where I can keep an eye on them.
