Last week a few scenes in the upcoming movie (summer 2011) Judy Moody and the Not Bummer Summer was filmed a few doors up from my in-laws Pharmacy. Emma is a HUGE Judy Moody fan, so we wandered up to take a peek and got a real treat.
We got to meet Megan McDonald, the author of the Judy Moody books! She was so incredibly nice and took the time to autograph FIVE of Emma’s Judy Moody books.
And, she invited us to stick around so that the kids could meet the actors who are playing “Judy Moody”,
and “Stink” in the movie.
Looks like it’s going to be a great family movie!

Wow! How cool is that?! We have a Judy Moody book upstairs that #1 is refusing to read because, “it’s for girls”. Some people’s children are so close minded:)
Wow! That is really, totally cool. I am so jealous.
But I have no idea who Jody Moody is. Looks like I have some Googling to do.
That’s so cool, Angie!

How fun! A few years ago when we lived in CA, Pirates of the Caribbean II filmed in the bay right by our house. We took beach chairs, sat on the cliff with sandwiches, and watched them film all day-it was great!

With a little toddler, I’ve not been introduced to the world of Judy Moody yet, but I’m sure it won’t be too long before I am. How exciting for your family to meet the cast – my daughter was into the Elmo doll long before she was introduced to Sesame Street and she went wild the first time she watched it – probably because she thought her doll was on TV! I rather imagine it’s something like that experience. Only less squealing
