Privacy-At Long Last

It only took 7 months, 7 weeks, 4 days and 3 hours:

I can’t tell you what this means to me.  I no longer live in a fish bowl.

Plus, I think they look pretty darn spectacular.

My house is sort of an U shape with all those windows right in the middle, so it’s really nice to have the privacy I’ve been living without!

Yay for those shutters. They look really nice. :)

Before we moved in to our place, curtains were at the top of my list and the first two nights we were here with no curtains, I hated the fact that anybody could just see in.

Yeah!! We have lived in our house for 5 years and I still don’t have any window treatments. Thank goodness, we are surrounded by trees.

Love it! I have lived in my house for over 4 years now, and we still don’t have any draperies. We have blinds (not nearly as beautiful as yours), but I STILL haven’t gotten around to window coverings.

What does that say about me?!

Those look amazing! Please tell me where they are from. Since we got our new windows last summer some of our windows are still sitting open to the world. I’m sick of watching TV with a blanket over my head. Need help ASAP!

We still don’t have any window coverings on the back sliding door and the kitchen window. I wish hubby would get on that.

Love them! I hear ya! We have only put curtains and shades in the bathrooms and living rooms! I can’t wait to get them up in the rest of the house! We have wooden shutters like that in our bathroom!

We went just as long without window coverings on our front window, and you can see straight into the neighbors house. I totally understand the fish bowl feeling. Especially when you forget to grab a towel BEFORE you jump in the shower. :)

Actually. I don’t like things out of place. That’s the formal living room, so we are not in there all the time. Our everyday living areas look lived in! :)

We’ve lived w/o curtains and/or drapes in our downstairs windows for so long that I get claustrophobic when I’m in a house with proper window treatments! Crazy, I know, but true. I do love your shutters, though. You’ve given me an inspiration…maybe this summer?

Hey there! I’m new around these parts, but I’ve heard so much about your blog! I’m visiting from Le Musings of Moi, and I decided to join in the fun.

I love those blinds! I kinda wish I had done those in my house. I know what it feels like to live in a fishbowl. The entire front wall of my living room is a window, and our house is on a quiet one-way street, but right at a stop sign, so cars just stop in front of my house often. Awkward.

LOVE the shutters. Super cute. And, two decades from now when you don’t want them on your windows anymore, you can hang them on a wall or use them as room dividers! =^) Or send them to ME and I’ll do that.
