Hannah’s Handycrafts Giveaway

by Angie on January 23, 2010

When I was 13:

1. I ironed shirts for the neighbor for 35 cents a pop.

2.  I babysat.  ALL the time.

3.  I walked dogs.  I dog sat.  I house sat.

Basically, I did whatever I could to make a few extra dollars because food and shelter was provided in my house at no cost to me growing up.  The extras like clothing, toiletries, and spending money were up to me.

It seems like children are given EVERYTHING these days.  I have a hard time finding youth to even babysit for me because there really isn’t any incentive for them.  Their parents give them everything they want, so why bother?

So, when I was contacted by Hannah’s mom about Hannah’s ETSY shop I happily agreed to host a giveaway on my blog for her.

Here is what her mom said about Hannah:

She has worked so hard to create her product line and does a beautiful job with the items she makes.  She re-invests the little she has made back into the business buying more supplies whenever possible! She also plans to donate a portion of her sales to a charity that is special to her in Guatemala…the country that gave her a baby brother!”

I love that this little entrepreneur thinks not just about herself, but of others and gives of her resources for them.
Hannah is offering a lucky winner the following items:

1. An adorable fleece hat that fits American Girl dolls.

2. Choice of FOUR solid-colored lined tuxedo bow alligator hair clippies.

In order to qualify, simply visit Hannah’s  Etsy shop and look around.

For additional entries:

1.  Tweet this giveaway and/or give Hannah’s Etsy Shop a shout out.

2.  If you purchase something from Hannah’s shop, let me know and you’ll be given an extra entry.

Good luck.  I’m hoping you all remember Hannah’s shop for future gifts!

Contest ends January 31st at 11:59 pm and is only open to US residents.

I totally agree with you. My kids earn their small allowance and have to save it for extras they want. It is so wonderful to see kids like Hannah do this. She does a great job and I really like the Pink Orange and Lime Green With Dashes. Very cute
Thank you

I love that she does this!! I hope my kids work as hard for their money and learn to understand it’s value at such a young age. The bows are adorable.
